Minneapolis MN

Dick and Randy had a highly productive day with doing lots of errands, getting many things taken care of, but no photos.  Dick helped guide Randy through the process of buying his first iPhone. They went out to dinner at one of Randy’s favorite restaurants.  It was nice being able to spend the entire day together.

While they were off getting things done, Patti shared a long day with her friend, Ann.  They started at The Tiny Dinner, fast becoming one of Patti’s favorite new places to meet people.

Then, they went out to a glorious place in the Twin Cities: The University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.  The flowers and trees looked fabulous, with walking paths, pleasant drives and places to sit and talk.

Patti enjoyed seeing the new Bee and Pollinator’s Center, and had to have her photo taken in a beekeeper cutout costume.  And there are always many wonderful sculptures at the Arboretum, but they had a special exhibit of metal sculptures that looked like origami.  Lovely!

There was a new Chinese Garden which had just opened that included some amazing rocks that had been brought from China.  To their surprise, there were a number of wild turkeys patrolling the grounds.  They appeared to greatly appreciate the roses, gobbling down whole rose blossoms.

So there was walking and sitting and talking for about 11 hours.  They concluded the evening with The Taste of India restaurant.   It is always great when you get the treat of a glorious long day with a friend.
