July 15, 2018
Mississauga, Ontario

Our Sunday morning began watching the finals of both Wimbledon tennis and world cup soccer. Both had some very exciting times, and even Liam and his buddies Elmo lined up to watch the soccer.

Much of the day was spent just catching up in conversation and enjoying one another. We so rarely all get to be in the same place and it was very nice just to have at this good long stretch.  Of course, Liam got some special attention from each of his parents and grandfather.

We gathered for another wonderful dinner that David grilled which included burgers and many wonderful veggies. Great food again. And some really interesting dinnertime conversations that included a discussion about different cultures and how they eat pie as well as what happens to children's baby teeth in that culture. Inquiring minds want to know.

The visit was a drawing to an end. We decided to go cheer David on in his men's hockey league in their evening game. It was fun to watch them skate so enthusiastically and hard around the rink. Mostly, we were pleased we could watch it from a very warm heated restaurant overlooking the hockey rink. Both Patti and Dick took an opportunity to go down near the rink to shoot some photos. It was really cold down there! It was fun to watch David skate.
