Windsor Ontario to Mississauga Ontario

Up early and hit the road driving to see family in a western suburb of Toronto. We got our of Windsor really quickly, and then later hit some more traffic. Overall, it was a pretty smooth drive to get to Mississauga. This is where our nephew David, his wife, Bogdana, and son, Liam, live.

It was so fun reconnecting with Liam who went on his first major holiday flying to San Diego to visit our home last August. He has really grown! He is now nearly 2 ½.  After a little shyness, he warmed back up to us. We had the chance to see their beautiful new home, which is so lovely! They have the main floor and the second floor, with Bogdana's Mother, Nadia, having the walkout basement apartment. It's a great home, although there was some remodeling still going on. We look forward to returning and seeing how the new bathrooms come out as well as some other projects. Later in the afternoon, Dick sister, Marti, and her husband, Nigel, (in burgundy shirt) arrived from Ottawa. So nice to see them.

And then later in the afternoon, we were joined by David's brother, Chris (in red shirt), and his daughter, Violet. She is really growing up at four years old now. So nice to see both of them!

Marti had brought a little toy cart that Dick's father had played with when he was a child  It had been repainted by Dick for Marti's sons and now Marti repainted it for Liam.

And finally, David (in green shirt) arrived home from work. We spent some great time . It was so nice to see the Canadian part of our family.
