We were very pleased to find out that Patti’s brother’s
kids, Matt and Josh were playing in a tennis tournament this weekend. The boys, who are both excellent tennis
players, played on their high school team which just took 2nd place in the Minnesota
Sate High School Tournament.

Because we
could only follow that from California, we were excited to see them play in
person. Both boys did well, won their matches, and so will be playing again on
Sunday.
Paula and Jackson were scheduled to drive back to their
cabin in Northern Wisconsin this morning.
However, bad weather was headed that direction, and her husband
encouraged them to stay in Rochester for another day, so she was able to join
us for a lovely buffet dinner. LOTS of
food and joking and laughter.
Then, one more walk up in Quarry Hill Park. You could feel the wind blowing and
changing. A storm was indeed on the
way. Having the weather significantly
impact what you are doing is something that doesn’t happen very often when you
live in Southern California, but you are wise if you follow the weather closely
in other places, such as Minnesota. It
waited until about 11:00 pm to really start to rumble and lightening. Nice to be warm and dry inside on a night
like that.
