Happy 4
th of July from Texas! Another kick-back day recovering and spending
time with Patti’s sister and her family.
We did a Target run, got plenty of ice and then headed over to the
swimming pool for a nice late afternoon swim.
We were joined by our brother-in-law's (Rob) sister, husband and their
son. It was so nice just cooling off
from yet another over 100 degree day. We
ate, drank and splashed the afternoon away.
Then, after showers all of the way around, we had a
scrumptious feast cooked by Peggy and Rob, including corn on the cob, fancy BBQ
chicken, and watermelon. How’s that for traditional
4
th of July food? They are
such gracious hosts!
Then we all went just down the block to watch fireworks.
They were lovely. Oooh, ahhh!
And then added a few fireworks
ourselves. Happy 4th. Here’s hoping for more and more freedom for
everyone.
