June 15 Day 2 Fly to Barcelona

Well, our second day off was truly a travel day… a long travel day. We got up before 4 AM

4:30 in morning

to catch the shuttle over to LAX. Los Angeles streets were quite quiet at 4:30 on a Saturday morning.

We had breakfast and waited a couple hours before we

loaded our plane and flew four and a half hours to Toronto, Canada.

At Toronto, we had another four hour wait where we ate some lunch, hung out, and Patti napped a little bit curled up on the floor. Neither of us were looking forward to spending a long night in uncomfortable airplane seats. Our flight took off at 8:30 Toronto time for a long night’s journey to Barcelona. We got a chicken dinner and tried our hardest to find a way to put our arms, legs and heads to get any amount of sleep.  The sky outside of the planes was stunning at times.   We read, we tried to sleep, and grew more excited (as well as more and more tired!). In the morning, we would land in Barcelona.
